The Maison

Chaumet and its People

While it all began in 1780 with the Nitot family, over time dozens, then hundreds of passionate people have joined our Maison. At Chaumet, we are just as proud of our heritage as we are of the people who carry us forward every day. To guarantee their well-being, we take concrete action to promote equality and inclusion, and celebrate cultural diversity.

Chaumet strives for diversity and inclusion

Respect for every individual and the fight against all forms of discrimination are fundamental principles that Chaumet strictly upholds. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy in this regard. We use a hotline set up by the LVMH Group for anonymous reporting: LVMH Alert Line. At the same time, a D&I Committee meets monthly to deal with issues of fairness and equality, and to raise awareness within the Maison.

Promoting gender equality

Committed to professional equality, we draw on the internal EllesVMH networks, set up by the LVMH Group to encourage women’s professional development. We also offer a support programme for new parents and raise awareness with conferences, discussions and testimonials.

As signatories of the EllesVMH charter at the Global HR Summit, a strong commitment to gender equality within the Group, we were also awarded a score of 86/100 on the professional equality index, recognising the impact of these measures.

Supporting people with disabilities

To promote the integration and fulfilment of everyone, each of our workspaces is adapted for people with reduced mobility. We also raise awareness among our teams to ensure that disability inclusion is an integral part of our company culture, and we provide training on recruitment and support for the employees concerned. With the support of LVMH Disability Inclusion, we work to guarantee access to and retention in employment.

Promoting socio-economic and cultural diversity

We are convinced that diversity enriches our creativity and our humanity, and plays a key role in our greatest achievements. In partnership with the association NQT, we support the professional integration of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Employees of the Maison have the opportunity to mentor a student through a sponsorship programme, guiding them towards entry into the professional world.

Quality of work life

Chaumet is a signatory of the LVMH Group’s Health and Safety Charter; as part of this, it applies the five pillars of this policy, which aims to foster a “zero-accident” culture.

Chaumet employees can also benefit from the LVMH Heart Fund initiative, a global programme aimed at supporting employees facing serious and unexpected personal challenges by providing emergency financial assistance and dedicated social and psychological support.

Finally, in keeping with its commitment to the well-being of its employees and to QWL, Chaumet adheres to a rigorous policy on human rights, labour standards and social responsibility.
