The Maison

Chaumet and the environment

As a naturalist jeweller since its beginnings, Chaumet cannot stand by and watch the disappearance of flora and fauna essential to life and to the creativity of tomorrow. Aware of the role we have to play, our Maison is actively implementing concrete actions to preserve natural resources and support all those who depend on them.

CSR Report

On the road to 100% traceable gold

In 2024, Chaumet joins the Swiss Better Gold Association, an organisation committed to the sustainable development of artisanal mines. Following the creation of a responsible Bee de Chaumet pendant, the Maison takes this commitment further in 2026 with a High Jewellery parure crafted from 100% traceable gold. Chaumet thus reaffirms its vision of a jewellery world that is increasingly transparent.

Swiss Better Gold Association

Nature has guided Chaumet for nearly 250 years, inspiring creativity and shaping its treasures. Now, the Maison gives back through patronage partnerships with WWF in France, Japan and China. From forest restoration to biodiversity protection, these initiatives reflect a shared ambition to safeguard nature and foster a future in harmony with humans. At Chaumet, meaningful jewellery is a testament to the connection between humanity and nature.

Reforest'Action

Since 2023, Chaumet has been supporting Reforest’Action and taking concrete action by financing an assisted natural regeneration project in the Chantilly forest, a classified heritage forest that is now under threat. Thanks to this project, the forest’s resilience to climate change is being strengthened.

The LVMH initiative – LIFE 360

Proud to be part of the LVMH Group, Chaumet is committed to upholding the initiatives set out in the Group’s environmental roadmap, LIFE 360. The programme sets ambitious targets for 2026 and 2030 around four key pillars.

Our environmental policy

Biodiversity

Because its creations and craftsmanship are intimately linked to nature, Chaumet is committed to ensuring that 100% of its strategic raw materials are certified by 2026 according to standards that guarantee the preservation of ecosystems and water resources.

Climate Strategy

In line with the Paris Agreement, Chaumet is aiming to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions from its energy consumption by 50% by 2026, working towards 100% renewable energy by 2030.

Circularity

In 2025, Chaumet unveiled an eco-designed display made from 95% cardboard, reducing its carbon footprint and optimising transport.

Transparency

To ensure responsible sourcing, Chaumet traces its raw materials from source to use, in accordance with strict certification standards.

Chaumet, a certified jeweller

A member of the Responsible Jewellery Council since 2005, Chaumet is audited every 3 years to ensure that their practices adhere to the rigorous standards of responsibility and ethics required by this certification.
In line with the Kimberley Process, Chaumet is also committed to combatting the exploitation of blood diamonds: stones illegally mined in areas ravaged by armed conflict.

Responsible Jewellery Council

When commitment rhymes with creativity

For Paris Fashion Week, Chaumet shines the spotlight on sustainable luxury. In partnership with FabBRICK, the Maison has transformed 312 kg of Chaumet’s former sales uniforms into unique decor that unites both luxury and upcycling.

Chaumet, a committed buyer

From gold to diamonds, Chaumet is committed to the responsible sourcing of its strategic raw materials.

Diamonds

In accordance with the Kimberley Process, we certify that all our diamonds come from legitimate sources and are not linked to armed conflicts. We apply strict criteria when selecting both our stones and our suppliers, and in line with the LIFE 360 roadmap, we are committed to achieving 100% traceability of our certified stones by 2030.

Kimberley Process

Indirect purchases

Chaumet’s Purchasing Department promotes transparency, fair trade and respect for human rights throughout its supply chain. Our partners are required to meet specific social and environmental criteria for each project, which are assessed during the supplier selection process. This long-term approach aims to establish lasting relationships and promote responsible consumption, thus building a model that respects people and the environment.
