Your Chaumet watch is covered by a two (2) year International Warranty covering any lack of conformity arising under normal conditions of use, effective from the date of purchase shown on your Certificate of Authenticity.

This certificate must be duly completed and validated with the stamp of a Chaumet boutique or an authorised Chaumet retailer.

This International Warranty applies without prejudice to the legal warranties and applicable laws in the country of purchase.

The following are not covered by the warranty:

• Normal wear on the watch;
• Any improper or abusive use (impacts, crushing, operating the crown or pushers while underwater, failing to reposition the crown correctly, etc.);
• Straps;
• The use of a battery other than one specified by Chaumet for quartz movements;
• Damage resulting from work, repairs or disassembly carried out by an unauthorised service provider.

For any work carried out under the warranty, your watch must be taken to a Chaumet boutique or an authorised Chaumet retailer.

The warranty applies only upon presentation of the Chaumet Certificate of Authenticity.

Once the two (2) year warranty period has expired, the customer is responsible for the cost of any repairs.

Only genuine Chaumet watches are eligible for repair work.

Any work carried out by the After-Sales Service is covered by a one (1) year repair warranty from the date of repair, subject to applicable laws and the legal warranties in force.

This warranty applies only upon presentation of the service certificate or repair invoice.

A system of seals keeps your Chaumet watch water-resistant. This is indicated by the words ‘Water Resistant’ engraved on the case back. 

To ensure that the watch remains water-resistant in the long term, we recommend having the seals replaced every two years from the date of first use, as part of routine maintenance or a complete service. 

Each day, ensure that the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water. The crown must never be adjusted while underwater to prevent water from entering the case. 

If you notice any water or moisture inside your watch, particularly in the form of condensation, we recommend having your watch checked as soon as possible at one of our Chaumet boutiques or authorised retailers.

The steps to follow depend on the type of movement in your Chaumet watch. 

For a mechanical or automatic watch: 

• First of all, check that the movement has been wound correctly.  

For a quartz watch, or if a mechanical or automatic watch continues to lose accuracy: 

• The mechanism may have been affected by accidental impact, natural wear or exposure to a magnetic field.
