Chaumet diamonds

Choosing perfection.

Chaumet diamonds combine excellence with emotion, to give solitaires an extraordinary sparkle. The most prized gemstones of all, they adorn the Maison’s creations and symbolise purity, perfection and eternal love. For nearly 250 years, Chaumet has had the privilege of setting many of them on the most beautiful jewellery pieces.

Born from the founding passion of Joséphine and Napoléon since 1780, our engagement rings celebrate love through exceptional designs inspired by High Jewellery.

The art of styling

The Maison’s collections offer four diamond shapes designed to enhance the stones: the pear, brilliant, cushion and Chaumet exclusive 88-facet hexagonal cut.

The Pear

The pear-shaped diamond, a personal favourite of Empress Joséphine, has become one of Chaumet’s signatures, both elegant and daring.

The Brilliant

The brilliant cut, with its 58 facets, is the most luminous of the classic cuts, offering breathtaking brilliance.

The Chaumet Exclusive

The Chaumet exclusive cut, imagined by the Maison’s diamond experts, owes its extraordinary brilliance to its 88 facets.

The Cushion

With its unique brilliance, this cut echoes the legendary French crown jewel: the Regent Diamond.

In search of excellence at Chaumet: the universal certification standard developed by the Gemological Institute of America, the 4Cs.

Each Chaumet diamond is meticulously selected to meet the highest standards of excellence, according to the universal certification standard developed by the Gemological Institute of America, the 4Cs: colour, cut, clarity and carat weight.

The 4Cs

Colour reveals the natural hue of the diamond. The more colourless it is, the more precious it is.
Cut gives life to the diamond. It shapes the stone to optimise the refraction of light and reveal all its brilliance.
Clarity refers to the absence of imperfections. The fewer there are, the rarer and more sparkling the diamond.
Carat is the unit of weight for diamonds. A high carat weight reveals an exceptional stone.

Unique to Chaumet, harmony is the fifth criterion the Maison applies when choosing the most beautiful diamonds, combining emotion with the proportions of the stones, the setting and the design.

Thus, they capture light in a unique way and reflect it from facet to facet, shining with all their brilliance. The splendour of each stone is enhanced by settings that highlight the centre stones, revealing their incomparable radiance.

Behind every diamond, a story of values

The Maison attaches the highest importance to the origin of its raw materials, particularly its diamonds. A member of the Responsible Jewellery Council since 2005, Chaumet exclusively sources diamonds that comply with the Kimberley Process and current regulations.
