Chaumet and its People

While it all began in 1780 with the Nitot family, over time dozens, then hundreds of passionate people have joined our Maison. At Chaumet, we are just as proud of our heritage as we are of the people who carry us forward every day. To guarantee their well-being, we take concrete actions to promote equality and inclusion, and we celebrate cultural diversity.

Respect for every individual and the fight against all forms of discrimination are fundamental principles that Chaumet strictly upholds. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy in this regard. We use two hotlines set up by the LVMH Group, allowing anonymous reporting: LVMH Alert Line and Voices.

Promoting gender equality

To combat gender inequality, we have set up professional networks for women, a support programme for young parents and awareness-raising activities including conferences, discussions and testimonials.

As signatories of the EllesVMH charter at the Global HR Summit, a strong commitment to gender equality within the Group, we were also awarded a score of 97/100 on the professional equality index, recognising the impact of these measures.

Combatting homophobia and gender discrimination

Deeply committed to combatting discrimination based on sexual identity and orientation, Chaumet continues to carry out awareness-raising activities and provides a safe space through its LVMH Pride network. Celebrating Pride Month every year, the Maison also signed the LGBT+ Commitment Charter of L’Autre Cercle in 2022, alongside LVMH.

Supporting people with disabilities

To promote the integration and fulfilment of everyone, each of our workspaces is adapted for people with reduced mobility. We also raise awareness among our teams to ensure that disability is an integral part of our company culture, and we provide training on recruitment and support for the employees concerned. With the support of LVMH Mission Handicap, we work to guarantee access to and retention in employment.

Promoting socio-economic and cultural diversity

We are convinced that diversity enriches our creativity and our humanity, and plays a key role in our greatest achievements. In partnership with the association Nos quartiers ont du talent, we support the professional integration of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Employees of the Maison have the opportunity to mentor a student through a sponsorship programme, guiding them towards entry into the professional world.

Quality of work life

To promote the well-being of our employees, the Maison introduced a series of concrete actions several years ago, such as remote working, the right to disconnect and initiatives supporting physical and psychological health.

As a signatory of the Group’s health and safety charter, Chaumet is actively involved in the LVMH Heart Fund initiative, a global programme aimed at supporting employees facing serious and unexpected personal challenges by providing emergency financial assistance and dedicated social and psychological support.
