A commitment to culture

As a jewelry Maison committed to culture, Chaumet has consistently positioned art and creativity at the heart of its projects for over 240 years. This year, Chaumet joins the contemporary art fair Frieze Seoul: a novel way for it to celebrate craftsmanship and nature’s enchantment.

In partnership with the Korean-born, New York-based artist Heechan Kim, who has recently been awarded a special mention at the Loewe Foundation Craft Prize 2024, it will reveal an unprecedented piece of artwork by the artist, whose organic composition and form resonate with patterns from the Bee My Love collection. Erected as the emblem of the collection, the graphic honeycomb cell, derived from the symbol of the bee, is repeated endlessly, evoking the construction of a beehive. This new initiative evinces their shared devotion to craftsmanship and reverence for the beauty of natural forms.

Discover Bee My Love Collection

Just as Chaumet’s Bee My Love collection draws inspiration from naturally occurring patterns, Kim’s work echoes the intricacy of forms found in nature such as hives and shells. A previously unseen artwork, premiered at the Chaumet lounge at Frieze Seoul, sees the artist work for the first time with naturally lustrous walnut wood, a material that subtly reflects the radiance of Chaumet’s mirror-polished gold.

Presented in a specially conceived display in the Chaumet lounge, the conjunction of Kim’s sculpture and Chaumet jewellery is a hymn to beauty crafted from nature.
