It has the light suppleness of a dance movement and the spellbinding harmony of a great classic. Clad in elegant, sensual gold, Boléro, the new ladies’ watch from Chaumet, shows all the allure of modern women who choose distinction.
Both Grace and Character at once, Boléro fully embodies the Chaumet spirit. Its round, elegant face extends into a gold mesh bracelet that feels like a second skin, a feat of suppleness and lightness that speaks of Chaumet’s savoir-faire. It’s an assured design available in yellow or pink gold. The dial comes in a beautiful understated white or a daring graphic black. The small model (30 mm) uses Swiss quartz movement, while the large model (36 mm) has self-winding Swiss movement.
Assured, daring, sensual, harmonious, Parisian … Boléro speaks to remarkable women. In a series of photos, fashion photographer Matthew Brookes has captured the very particular aura of today’s women, who have found in Boléro a watch in their image.

It goes without saying that the unique universe of this precious watch includes a collection of jewellery designed in yellow and pink gold. The bracelets are variations on the theme of gold mesh, embellished with a clasp like that on the watch, while the supple rings play on the simplicity of plain gold or the elegance of diamonds.
First and foremost, the bolero is a style of Latin music with powerful chords, which accompanies dance steps full of passion and love. Of course, it also evokes Ravel’s Boléro, an absolute masterpiece of classical music, which stands out because of its famous crescendo and its repetitions. It was also a ballet which remains famous in the history of dance for its intensely sensual staging, for which we can thank the French choreographer, Maurice Béjart. There are so many references that weave their way through the audacious design of this new timepiece by Chaumet.
Finally, Boléro recalls the very first watch made by Maison Chaumet: a gold bracelet watch set with emeralds and pearls, designed in 1811 by the founder of the company, Marie-Étienne Nitot, for Princess Augusta of Bavaria, daughter-in-law of Empress Joséphine.
