The making of a Chaumet watch calls on the skills of many trades and demands a strong collaboration between them.
Engraving, enameling and stone setting: behind each of the artistic crafts lies an obsession for detail which endows each of the Maison’s pieces with a unique value. So that each Chaumet watch is a true work of art, fashioned by time.
Painstakingly, our master Swiss craftsmen create and assemble the countless components of the timepiece using rigorous technology and jealously preserved know-how.
For more than two centuries, Chaumet’s jewellers have adorned timepieces with the rarest of diamonds and gems.
Artists of the infinitely small, they use the utmost meticulous skill to highlight the volume of the case, the dial and the bracelet. Mastering every type of setting – grain, prong, bezel, invisible, flange or honeycomb and stone cut – brilliant, cabochon, baguette, cushion or pear – they place, one by one, each gem in its own place. Creating, step by step, a new exceptional piece.
Chaumet pays the utmost attention to the sourcing of its raw materials, in accordance with the Kimberley process and as a member of the RJC.
All these dials express a different dimension of time, of movement, of emotion and celebrate the craftsmanship of the jewellers, engravers, stone setters and sculptors, miniature painters and watchmakers
Chaumet reinterprets the telling of time and accomplishes an exceptional technical feat with the creation of an unprecedented and exclusive new caliber.
The Maison combines the best Swiss watchmaking know-how, tradition and complex movements with its Parisian refinement it masters so well.
