Bamboo

Echoing Empress Joséphine’s passion for botany, the Maison has set itself apart as a “naturalist jeweller” since its beginnings.

At the intersection of earth and sky, the new High Jewellery Bamboo collection perpetuates this historic links with nature, boldly capturing the pure beauty of this plant and illustrating a precious and resilient nature.

The first chapter

As a tribute to Asia, Chaumet surprises by seizing upon the majesty of a plant relatively underrepresented in its stylistic repertoire, bamboo.

A symbol of integrity in China, tenacity and modesty in Japan, the collection is like the plant that rises majestically towards the sky, yet is able to bend without breaking.

The art of the line

Drawing on the plant’s beauty, derived from its simplicity, the parure is an amalgam of vertical lines, like the brushstrokes of a new kind of calligraphy, offering unisex creations designed for her and him alike.

The Chaumet style

Lending contemporary impact to the neckline, the bib necklace is composed of graphic leaves and stems. The masterful use of articulation gives it surprising suppleness, just as the combination of bead bright and cut-down settings testifies to the preeminence of the 12 Vendôme artisans.

The shimmering gold is enhanced by a superb black Australian opal, whose vivid fire flickers with an original combination of colours, from bright blue to apple green, gorgeously complemented by tsavorite garnets.

Distinctive creations
The brooches

This contrast-rich palette is also repeated on three bold brooches. The first can be transformed into a hair ornament, the second is made up of two distinct elements designed to be worn as a pair, while the third features highly flexible diamond bands.

A striking contrast

Three rings play on the same association of gems and colours but stand apart through their singularity.

While the first, with its elongated form accentuating the capsule’s defining slender silhouette, the second revisits the toi et moi motif in an unexpected way, where the garnet’s intensity is reflected in the opal fires. Finally, the third one is topped with a cushion-cut tsavorite garnet.

The Maison signature
Le diadème

Abstraction meets goldsmithing excellence in the foliage’s hand-engraved goldwork to infuse with a vital momentum the tiara crowning this powerful parure.

Over time and reflecting the tastes of successive eras, each of the thirteen workshop managers has reinterpreted the emblematic theme of nature in their own way, but always captured in the moment, as an ode to life and movement.
