“Inks“ transformable brooch in white, pink and yellow gold, set with turquoise, round yellow sapphires, round garnets and spinels, lacquer, Grand Feu enamel and brilliant-cut diamonds.
Deliberately bold, the unisex “Inks” brooches playfully recreate the symbols that sailors get tattooed. Evoking a thinly veiled sky, turquoise dialogues with diamonds drawing clouds. A seagull spreads its wings over a sea of Grand Feu enamel. The precious bird flies away, guided in its crossing by a lighthouse in gold, lacquer and coloured stones. In the tradition of Chaumet's emblematic sentimental jewellery, the message “Love guides me” is hand-engraved in gold. The brooch hides a clasp that can be opened to accommodate a gold chain and transformed into a necklace.
Since its creation in 1780, Chaumet has drawn its inspiration from the elements of nature. Water plays a major role. With Ondes et Merveilles de Chaumet, the Maison dedicates an entire collection of high jewellery to the sea. An invitation to travel, exploring a variety of horizons to tell the story of the sea in all its manifestations, from waves caressing the water’s surface through to underwater treasure hunts, ships in ports of call and the currents of the Gulf Stream.
