Le Jardin de Chaumet

Flowers

Chapter 3

Le Jardin de Chaumet is as enchanting as it is vast. Past the fields around the forest, the walker encounters the flora and its quartet of species: pansy, tulip, iris and arum.

The flowers in this third chapter give pride of place to the colour inscribed in the Maison’s stylistic vocabulary.

Pansy

The set’s twelve pieces reflect the charm of the pansy, bringing nature and couture together.

In the 1850s, Jean-Baptiste Fossin created a tiara with surprisingly realistic pansy flowers, illustrating the Maison's naturalist excellence.

In 2023, Chaumet reinterprets this motif in a contemporary and infinitely poetic design, created from 8/8 diamonds. The voluptuous flower blossoms into rings, one of which sparkles with a Fancy Vivid Yellow diamond.

Chaumet's virtuosity
Transformed into a supple silk-like net thanks to the use of the "fil couteau" technique, the voluminous necklace reveals a pansy in a vitrail setting.

The setters created corollas with virtuoso dégradés. The discreet pavé realized with tiny bead settings fades behind a gradation of blue, pink and Padparadscha sapphires.

Tulip

Composed of seven pieces, the set captures the tulip in all its freedom of form and colour.

In keeping with the daring creativity so dear to the Maison, the flower blossoms in a contemporary reinterpretation full of personality, as in this motif opening onto a diamond ribbon necklace and stretching into a gourmette chain with set links.

Incandescent red spinels are also featured, like this 10.70-arat pear setting ablaze a spindle of leaves set with mandarin garnets and spinels.
Iris

The four pieces in the set celebrate the iris in all its delicate volume.

From a new mine in Tanzania, a magnificent 24.26-carat cushion-cut spinel adorns the transformable Iris necklace with a bud in crystalline pink hues. Like a watercolour painting, the paving of pale pink spinels underlines the grace of the detachable motif, which wraps smoothly around a river of diamonds.

Enhanced by a particularly complex pairing, the intense colour of the stones in the set highlights the rich texture of the flower and its serrated edges.

Arum

Made up of four pieces, the set transforms the majestic plant into a golden caress.

The virtuosity of the 12 Vendôme workshop stretches white gold into graphic lines, in keeping with Chaumet's art of the line.

Represented by an emerald-cut yellow sapphire weighing over 10 carats, the spadix of the arum is enveloped in a white gold calyx set with diamonds that call for a glamorous evening dress.
The art of High Jewellery
In our 12 Place Vendôme workshop in Paris, jewellers, setters, polishers and gem cutters have created these exceptional pieces for more than 240 years.
