Chaumet at the Grand Prix de l’Horlogerie de Genève

Three Chaumet timepieces have been shortlisted for the 18th edition
of the Grand Prix de l’Horlogerie de Genève. These precious watches represent
a melding of technical expertise, jeweller savoir-faire and poetry.

Nominated in the Artistic Crafts category, the Écritures de Chaumet watch inspired by Renoir’s painting “Woman With a Parasol in a Garden », which itself writes a new horological page for the Maison. An ode to light and art, this watch beats to the rhythm of a self-winding mechanical movement.

Nominated in the Ladies category, the Laurier secret watch. In white gold and adorned with a laurel leaf bezel and 446 finely paved diamonds, this timepiece is an ode to Apollo and Daphne and the naturalistic spirit of the Maison.

Nominated in the Ladies Complication category, the Espiègleries Jumping Hour Creative Complication, part of the third chapter of the Les Mondes de Chaumet collection. This intricate watch is brought to life with a Swiss automatic jumping hour movement: a yellow sapphire star indicates the hour while a white gold bird wing shows the minutes.

The 18th edition of the Grand Prix de l’Horlogerie will take place on 9 November 2018 at the Théâtre du Léman in Geneva, Switzerland.
