Maharani de Chaumet necklace in white gold, set with 2 pear-shaped Colombian emeralds weighing 2.70 and 2.65 carats and brilliant-cut diamonds.
With its supple, asymmetric knot, this necklace evokes the human bond, along with an assured sense of elegance, lightness and subtlety. Inspired by the négligé necklaces that were highly fashionable during the Belle Epoque, it also revisits a spectacular piece created by Chaumet in 1913 for the Maharajah of Indore.
At the end of each pendant, whose twisted style echoes one of the Maison's codes, two precious stones are suspended by the apparent miracle of fil couteau, an emblematic technique of Chaumet High Jewellery. 2.70 and 2.65-carat Colombian emeralds in deep shades were carefully selected and matched by the Maison. Dressing the décolleté with their brilliance, these pear-cut stones recall Empress Joséphine's taste for jewels of eternal beauty.
